The Plenary approves that the April Fair 2025 start monday 5 of May with the Night of the “Pescaíto”
The Plenary approves that the April Fair 2025 be held again in its traditional model: with the lighting on the night of Pescaíto Monday and ending on Fire Sunday. This year, The Fair will be held between 6 and the 11 May.
The Seville Fair will once again last six days. After months of debate and a citizen consultation, The Plenary Session of the Seville City Council has approved the recovery of the traditional format of the April Fair. With this decision, ratified by the quality vote of Mayor José Luis Sanz, The Fair will be held again from Tuesday to Sunday, with the lighting and the fish dinner set for Monday night.
Confirmed dates for 2025: of 6 to the 11 May. The edition of 2025 will take place between 6 and the 11 May, closing with the traditional fireworks show. This change responds to the modification of the first article of the ordinance that regulates this emblematic festival., returning to the Fair the format that was maintained until 2016.
A process supported by the people of Seville
The decision to recover the traditional format was the result of a citizen consultation carried out in May 2024, in which more than 106.000 Sevillians. The 52% of voters chose to return to the Tuesday-Sunday model, vs. newer Saturday-to-Saturday format.
